STAGE THEATER – Downtown Stillwater, Minnesota now has a new professional theater along the shores of the St. Croix River. The Zephyr Theater is open in the old Zephyr train depot with a wide range of professional performances from live jazz to interactive plays to artistic opportunities for all ages. Visitors and locals can enjoy the performing arts year-round at a convenient venue within walking distance to hotels, restaurants and shops! LIVE MUSIC & DANCING – Stillwater’s nightlife scenic is vibrant. A wide variety of music awaits you at the night clubs, wine bistros, pubs and restaurants of Stillwater. Listen to live music at one of the 15 live music venues downtown and look for outdoor music concerts held in Lowell Park, Pioneer Park, and downtown patios. The Zephyr Theatre produces plays, musicals, and other theatrical performances, as well as concerts and dance performances. In addition, the Theatre works in collaboration with the St Croix Film Society to show classic films. Our theatre, music, dance, and art classes for students in preschool – 12th grade allow students to explore and study the creative arts. View our website for calendar of events and class schedules.
Future plans: As a professional theatre in the St. Croix Valley, the 330-seat Zephyr Theatre at the old train depot will produce productions of the highest quality that are visually, acoustically, and artistically beautiful. We will create and revive classic musicals and plays, while incorporating music, musical cultures, and dance into the live arts in meaningful ways.
