Stillwater Events Include: Grape Stomp, Oktoberfest, Art &Jazz Fests
“Save the TaTas” Ladies Night Out Offers Contests, Fun and Prizes to Support Breast Cancer Research

(Stillwater, MN) Stillwater will host a bevy of festivals in September celebrating arts, harvests, food, fun and games. For more information visit www.discoverstillwater.com.

Autumn is harvest time and thousands flock to Stillwater to visit apple orchards, pumpkin patches, breweries and wineries. St. Croix Vineyards hosts a lively Grape Stomp Sept 10-11 and offers tastings and free tours in its newly expanded winery. The festival also features several grape stomping contests and live entertainment throughout the weekend.

In a nod to the area’s German heritage, the Gasthaus stages an authentic Oktoberfest the weekends of September 16-18 and 23-25. Enjoy German beer, food and entertainment on the beautiful wooded grounds of Gasthaus Bavarian Hunter, just west of town.

Visitors can experience arts and antiques during Art on Main, a Fine Art Walk to be
held at seven galleries September 23-24. To enjoy outdoor arts and music along the river attend the Fall Colors Fine Art & Jazz Festival will be held in Lowell Park Oct 1-2. This juried show and festival showcases original works of fine art from area artists.

Stillwater will also host a Ladies Night Out on Thurs, September 15h from 5-8:30 pm. The theme for the evening will be “Save the TaTas” to promote breast cancer awareness and ladies will be able to enjoy light-hearted events while raising money for breast cancer research. Pink fishing boats will be parked on the north and south ends of town, and women will be able to pose for photos with the boats for a $1 donation. Maison Galleria and Trade Winds Spice Company will sell raffle tickets, with half the proceeds going to the Save the TaTas foundation. A fundraising competition will be held between Stillwater and Excelsior to see which community can raise the most funds for the foundation.

Dez from KS95 will be at Savories Bistro from 5:30 to 7:30 to add enthusiasm to the evening. Alfresco Casual Living will host “The Doctor is In” presented by HealthEast to allow women to meet and interview doctors to just ask questions or to seek a potential new health care provider. Attendees will be eligible for prize drawings including a Grand Prize of a $100 Gift Certificate redeemable at Stillwater area merchants. Shops will also offer discounts as well as drink specials, appetizers and food samples throughout the evening. Ladies may pick up a brochure of activities and offerings at Valley Bookseller, located at 217 North Main Street. Prize drawings will take place at 8:30 pm at Smalley’s Caribbean BBQ, 423 South Main Street.
