Just north of Stillwater lies the Gateway Trail, a paved multi-use trail perfect for hiking and biking. Starting in St Paul, the trail offers 18 miles of mostly flat, scenic riding. The Browns Creek Trail will soon connect another 5.8 miles to the Gateway Trail to bring cyclists right into the north end of Main Street.

The City of Stillwater and the Stillwater Cross Country Ski Association have been working together to provide some spectacular cross country ski trails in the Brown's Creek Nature Preserve Area located on the corner of McKusick Road and Neal Avenue. These trails are a multiuse trail open to hikers and cross country skiers.

What is a Pedicab? A pedicab is basically a bicycle rickshaw. St. Croix Pedicab is now operating in the greater downtown Stillwater area. Pedicabs are primarily pedaled but have an electrical assist for some of those Stillwater hills. Warden's House Museum open for tours through October 31 on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 5pm. The cost is $5 per adult, $1 for children. Built in 1853 as the residence of the Minnesota Territorial Prison warden. Over time there were thirteen wardens that lived in the house until 1914.
